T1 Individual Tax Organizer - Everyone needs one and this is the type of information that is required to properly prepare your tax return.
Don't let the number of questions intimidate you. Most individuals will never have to complete most of the questions. But read through
them all as the form is designed to catch unclaimed tax credits, deductions and allowances as well as classify and account for your income.
Self Employed - If you have either business or professional income, you'll fill out income tax form T2125. This form helps you complete the Statement of Business or professional Activities (T2125).
Business Use of Home - Is your home your principal place of business? Do you have a designated area for conducting business? A portion
of the maintenance, property taxes and mortgage interest may be deductible in computing your business income. This handy form will
allow you to calculate the allowable expenses.
Capital Gains or Losses - Have you had any sales of shares, mutual funds, bonds, real estate or other properties during 2010. This form will help you calculate your capital gain. This is for items outside of your RRSP.
Automotive - Depreciation, repairs, insurance, interest and gas and oil. Calculate the amount of allowable business expense when you use your own vehicle to earn income from a business.
